On February 5, a conference hall of Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex became a platform for communication of future shipbuilders - students of the profile Rosneft classes of Bolshoy Kamen and St. Petersburg. In the videoconference mode, students who are at a distance of 7 thousand kilometers from each other, compared their knowledge in the business game "Marine business - the choice of stout-hearted men".
The idea to conduct a business game between the students of the Northern capital and the Primorsky Territory belonged to the St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University - one of the leading Russian universities in shipbuilding, with which Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex cooperates in educating of top requested specialists. In the online mode, 23 ninth-graders of Rosneft-class school No. 2 met in the Zvezda conference hall and the team of St. Petersburg high school No. 368 who sat in the assembly hall of SPbSMTU, known as Shipbuilders` University. After the welcoming words of Gleb A. Turichin, SPbGMTU Acting Rector and Boris Kalinin, Zvezda SSC Deputy General Director for Personnel the children received their assignment. In two hours the students had to develop a project of sea shipping of valuable cargo– starting from a decision making to the project implementation. The business task included all aspects of the organization of sea shipping: development of an optimal route, settlement of financial issues, ability to act in conditions of unusual situations, ability to take risks into account, and so on. The students got an assistance from invited advisers, Zvezda had a representative of Marine State University named in honor of adm. G.I. Nevelskoy, the process was monitored and the results were evaluated by the scientific and pedagogical workers of Shipbuilders` University - in St. Petersburg - and Zvezda specialists: Alexander Polkovnikov, head of the training department, Sergey Teploukhov, deputy head of complex production equipment department, Maxim Kirenko, deputy head of FECSS JSC Human resources, as well as Tatiana Churaeva and Sergey Kalashnikov - the head of education and youth policy department and deputy chief production manager of FES Zvezda, JSC. During two hours the students showed good teamwork and developed a detailed project of cargo delivery. Each of the teams showed a purposefulness, creativity and will to win, and, as noted by our observers, the Bolshoy Kamen Rosneftclasses showed a high level of training and in many respects surpassed their rivals. Nevertheless, both projects turned out to be so good that the jury eventually could not single out the winner and divided the first place in the game between the two teams. Thus, in the honest struggle, the friendship of the St. Petersburg students with the Far Eastern won. All participants were awarded memorable gifts from Zvezda SSC, LLC and SPbSMTU. It is to be recalled that Zvezda shipbuilding complex acts as the coordinator of Rosneft-class, which was established in 2017 on the basis of school number 2. The purpose of profile training is to prepare future specialists for our industry. Students receive in-depth knowledge in specialized disciplines (physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science), additional education is organized: university instructors give classes for specialized subjects, special courses, laboratory workshops. Students also are engaged in design and research activities, take part in various competitions, academic competitions and conferences. Since the beginning of the academic school year, the employees of Zvezda SSC conducted several open lessons and meetings at the school, the guys went on a field trip to the shipbuilding complex, in February a sport event was scheduled between the students of Rosneft class and young specialists of the Shipbuilding Complex. In the near future, "Zvezda" plans to send the best students to St. Petersburg to get acquainted with Shipbuilders University.
