| Hull assembly of the first multifunctional ice breaker supply vessel has been started on the open land-based assembly area. Keel section was installed on the supporting device of the open land based assembly area. At the moment, works on pipes and outfitting installation, jointing of 6 sections of the vessel are in progress.
Stage of vessel construction on the open land-based assembly area means complex of activities on vessel’s sections installation as per drawings and their preparation for welding.
The first request for the construction of four multifunctional ice breaker supply vessels was submitted by Rosneft acting as the anchor customer. In accordance with the construction schedule, launching of the first multifunctional ice breaker supply vessel is scheduled for 2019.
Multifunctional ice breaker supply vessels are designed for the various areas of navigation. They are intended for the delivery of loads to the offshore drilling platforms, icebreaker support, vessels and offshore facilities towing.
Works on mobile shelters assembly and installation have also been started on the open land-based assembly area of 12 hectares. This will enable continuous process of blocks assembly under unfavorable weather conditions. Mobile shelters are equipped with bogies installed on the crane rails. There will be used an overhead travelling crane with load capacity of 5 tones to perform lifting operations inside shelters.
